In the box below, write the memo you would prepare for this situation:
Your company allows hourly-rated staff to switch off with each other on their shifts. As long as a full shift is present and the payroll department is notified, this process works well. However some staff have forgetting to tell the payroll department of switches, resulting in incorrect paycheques. This problem in turn causes inaccurate records on which T4s are prepared. As head of the payroll department, write a memo to all staff to request that they follow procedure. If staff do not report switches, you will have to cancel the practice.
